OUR ENERGY ASSISTANCE NETWORK
Our associations
The 4 “Energy Assistance” associations in Belgium, France, Italy and Monaco bring together current and former ENGIE employees to design and implement energy-related projects for underprivileged populations, often in isolated regions. Backed by the professional experience of their members, Energy Assistance operates on every continent, especially where the lack of energy infrastructure weighs heavily on the daily lives of women and children.
Our values
We live and breathe our values in our daily work.
- The beneficiary is at the heart of our projects: Our projects are designed to meet the real needs of local people, and to offer them solutions they can manage themselves in the long term with our assistance. This also means that they are actively involved.
- Humanitarianism: Members offer their time and resources to meet essential needs such as education and health, while respecting people’s dignity and right to autonomy.
- Respect for the environment and biodiversity: by setting up reliable and reasonable projects in collaboration with our partners and beneficiaries.
- Ethics: through transparency, sincerity, listening, solidarity and effective communication.
- Sharing skills by exchanging information and knowledge.
- Safety: From start to finish, every effort is made to ensure that the project is carried out in the safest possible conditions, and our volunteers ensure that these best practices are passed on.
Our goals
Our projects meet 4 sustainable development goals adopted by the United Nations:
- n°1 No poverty;
- n°3 Good health and well-being;
- n°4 Quality education;
- n°7 Clean and affordable energy, while respecting biodiversity.
Energy Assistance’s actions aim to help reduce poverty through access to energy, while targeting education and quality health care. We always seek to promote sustainable development locally.
Our areas of activity
The association covers a full range of activities: economic evaluation, technical studies, supply and installation of equipment, practical training and knowledge transfer.
