Francis Verhelst (Eandis) and Robert Andriessen (Electrabel Netherlands) have terminated a 2-week mission at Biankouri, located in the Northern region of Togo, bordering with Ghana and Burkina Faso.
It’s the third mission of electrification, by means of solar panels, undertaken by Energy Assistance in this Savannah area, one of the poorest regions in Togo.

The health centre of Biankouri, part of the Dapaong Diocese and supported by the French organisation “Joie et Santé” (Joy & Health) has been outfitted with 6 solar panels, 135 Wp each. This electricity supply ensures the working of the refrigerator and the lights in the surgery.

Half of our volunteers’ time was spent on executing this project, the other half was spent on verifying the good working order of 6 previously realised installations ( 2009 & 2011).
